Rarity does not affect the stats of your relic, but it does increase the amount of forge cores you get upon salvaging it. You will have a higher chance of getting a lower rarity relic as compared to a higher tier. The rarity of each relic is based on probability (eg: chance/luck/rng'esus). In terms of a mathematical formula, it is not entirely decided, but it may be that the relic level is your zone/27. Levels of Relics really don't matter because leveling them is quickly not worth a player's time so whatever you get is what you get for the most part. The levels of the relics from a mercenary quest are calculated depending on your HZTT, and they will be the highest possible according to this zone. A relic you obtain at zone 1500 will always have a higher level than a relic at zone 1400. The higher the zone level you obtain it on, the higher the level will be. Relic levels are calculated depending on the zone level the Relic Ooze spawns at. Even this benefit is not worthwhile in the long run when your skill ancients, manually leveled, allow players to have the duration of their skills quite a long time. Once your ancients are high enough to where most relics do nothing, they have become useless towards true progression, however despite this relics that boost skills are sometimes looked out for because before reaching infinite skills they may be able to come in handy. This is because these ancients have not reached their max yet, and getting them speeds up ascensions as well as essentially makes them more profitable in terms of HS gained. However quite early game, Kuma/Atman are able to still be effective. When past the point of your first transcendence, the relic stats which seemed to powerful will drop in value immensely, due to your HS gains making ancient levels increase to where soon 1K levels won't help. However, instead receiving Atman/Kuma/Chronos is beneficial too, since these relic stats will make pre-trans overall more efficient, even if only a little bit. Before transcending, it is imperative to know that almost any relic will assist you, with the exception of ones you can't utilize.(For example if you are never clicking then Fragsworth will not be able to assist you) Siya, Mammon, Mimzee, and Libertas, the 4 ancients to make sure to purchase pre-trans, are decent relic stats to earn. The stats of relics that you want to prioritize differ throughout where you are in the game. However, it is crucial to note that relic quests are practically useless as once your ancients reach higher levels the differences relics make will lessen. You can also get relics from mercenaries, which are generally better than that of the relics you get from oozes. The monster can spawn as early as zone 99 up to your highest zone this transcension*0.66.įor example, if your HZTT is 1000 a Relic Ooze can spawn anywhere between zone 99 and 660. Relic Oozes can only spawn once per ascension and only after your first ascension or quick ascension on a transcension. Relics are obtained when you defeat a Relic Ooze monster.
